TVNZ has announced a significant rise in the number of video streams accessed by Kiwis through TVNZ Ondemand last month.

Shortland Street was the most popular show to watch Ondemand, with My Kitchen Rules and The Big Bang Theory following as the second and third most popular.

The explosive growth in Kiwi viewers’ demand for video content saw a record three million video streams for TVNZ Ondemand in March, signalling a “momentous shift in viewing behaviour,” says TVNZ.

TVNZ Ondemand video streams were up 34% for the first three months of 2013 compared to the same time last year. Continue reading »

The CBS network has renewed a bunch of shows today, including The Big Bang Theory, The Good Wife, Survivor, Hawaii Five-0, The Mentalist, The Amazing Race, NCIS, NCIS: LA, Undercover Boss, 2 Broke Girls, Mike & Molly and Person of Interest.

The Walking Dead Monopoly announced

The Walking Dead has been adapted into a number of board games, with themed versions of Monopoly and Risk set for release. The Monopoly version will see players attempt to secure zombie-infested locations and build fortifications there rather than hotels. Continue reading »

Charlie Sheen has blamed Two and a Half men creator Chuck Lorre for a lot of things in the past and now he’s added another one to the list.

Sheen told The Guardian that he believes Lorre was to blame for New Zealand actress Melanie Lynskey’s divorce from Jimmi Simpson.

During an anti-Big Bang Theory rant, Sheen mentioned how himself, Angus T. Jones and Melanie Lynskey had all been affected by Lorre.

“I’m sorry, but Big Bang Theory is a piece of s**t – it’s a stupid show and it’s just lame, about lame people. I like the kids in it, but that show without [Two and a Half Men] as a lead-in is… goodbye. And I’m rooting for those kids, because I know who they’re dealing with. The fact that they’re still sane is crazy. You know? He’s a bad man. Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane has said that there is currently no end in sight for the cartoon. It’s not coming to an end, not yet,” he told BBC Breakfast. “There are more [seasons] to come. Bialik’s injury not obvious

Olympic gold medallist swimmer Ryan Lochte is in talks for multiple reality shows. ”I cannot tell you the exact shows, but two different reality show concepts have been offered and one additional is being discussed,” Lochte’s agent Erika Wright said.
