With 2014 marking the 20th anniversary of Friends and 10 years since the show ended, there had been hopes that there would be some sort of reunion.  Courtney Cox appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman this week and put an end to the speculation.

“There’s six friends and I have been trying to put together a cast dinner for 10 years,” Cox said. “It doesn’t happen. I mean, I can get the girls to come, maybe Matthew Perry. Matt LeBlanc canceled last time right at the last minute, [David] Schwimmer lives [in New York City], so it’s just not going to happen.”

Ahead of his imminent replacement of the legend in late night talk show hosts that is David Letterman, Stephen Colbert visited his future home for a casual chat.

David Letterman is retiring from late night TV.

“We don’t have the timetable for this precisely down,” he said. “I think it will be at least a year or so, but sometime in the not too distant future, 2015 for the love of God, in fact, Paul and I will be wrapping things up.”
