Season 4 of the Simple Life puts the girls to the matrimonial test when it’s “you are my wife… hello married life” for the jet-setting playgirls.

In each of the episodes, Paris and Nicole will take turns playing the traditional role of wife and running a household. There will be cooking, cleaning and all the other duties required to make a house a home. In addition, as “wives,” Paris and Nicole will have responsibility for the children, and each family will ultimately decide which of the heiresses is a “keeper”.

Tonight – A couple, who have been married for 64 years, give Paris and Nicole a well deserved lesson about love, life and togetherness. After a late night of partying Paris is unprepared for a day of work. So she finds a look-a-like to fill in for her. After Paris realizes that it’s Nicole’s day, she goes to find her look-a-like and runs into some problems with Nicole.

Tonight – Paris and Nicole fill in for a housewife who is desperate to keep the spark alive in her 12-year marriage. The girls’ “husband for a day” bends over backward as he tries to teach them how a relationship works, but commitment just doesn’t come easily for Paris and Nicole. To show this couple how they would keep the spark alive, Paris gets wild ‘n’ wet on a golf course, and Nicole brings blindfolds, tequila and an erotic photo shoot into the mix. It’s safe to say this host couple may never be the same.

Tonight – Paris and Nicole trade in their designer dresses for traditional Pakistani attire when they take over the responsibilities of a Pakistani housewife. Aiesha tells the girls that they will be learning to dress, cook, and keep the house as a traditional Pakistani woman would. In addition they will need to keep an eye on Faraaz. This prompts Nicole to ask if he is still breast fed, to which Aiesha responds no, as he is 15 years old.

Tonight – Paris and Nicole are preggers! Well, sorta. The girls strap on 35-pound pregnancy suits and take the place of a nine-month-pregnant stay-at-home wife. Shopping and parties are out of the question as Paris and Nicole struggle to clean house, raise a three-year-old, survive Lamaze class…and hit the strip clubs? Yep, the girls do pregnancy their own way! So, when Nicole takes Mr. Nolan to a nudie joint, Mrs. Nolan’s hormones go through the roof.

Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie’s reality show, The Simple Life, has been cancelled from E! after five seasons due to low ratings (or could it be due to the girls’ legal problems?).

Season five finishes screening in the US this weekend.

Nicole Richie and Ashley Olsen may not have much of an appetite when it comes to food, but their craving for animal skins has landed them on PETA’s 2006 “Worst-Dressed” list:

1. Nicole Richie: This pelt-wearing party girl is all animal skin and bones. She’s an incredible shrinking woman with the heart to match.

2. Ashley Olsen: Wearing fur does add 20 pounds, but if Ashley wants to fill out her frame, we suggest using a fork instead.

3. Christina Ricci: Disregarding the holiday season’s “Peace on Earth” message, Ricci recently posed for a magazine cover wearing fur from slaughtered reindeer. At least she’s not into fur hats: Imagine how many more pelts it would take to cover that forehead.

4. Eva Longoria: You’d think she’d be more sympathetic to the plight of rabbits considering the way she screws around like one on Wisteria Lane.

Noticeably absent from the list this year is Paris Hilton, whose fur-wearing ways landed her at the top of PETA’s “Worst-Dressed” list last year. Paris now tells reporters that she’s had enough and is ditching her mink coats, fox collars, and chinchilla trim. The tipping point came when she watched a gruesome exposé of the Chinese fur trade—in which animals are skinned alive—on PETATV.com. PETA is hoping that Paris has really been enlightened but is taking a wait-and-see approach before asking her to be the next “Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur” model.

Nick Carter has dished more dirt on Paris Hilton:

“If she was going overseas she’d cut a hole in her teddy and stuff it with cannabis. She had to have her own private stash with her at all times regardless of the consequences.

She was a drunken prude who as far as I can see did not really like sex. She relied on drugs and drink to give her confidence in the bedroom and was more often than not too wasted to even perform.

Night after night we’d just get utterly wasted and Paris can’t take her drink. I’d be pulling her off nightclub floors, with her wearing next to nothing, and putting her to bed totally off her head.

In reality I think she loved me because she thought, with all her money, she could control me.

But I’ve never met anybody who can spend so needlessly. I think she had simply run out of things to buy.

She spends so much time looking at herself in the mirror telling herself how gorgeous she is.”

Sadly, we probably all have heard how Paris and Nicole are reunited. But you may not have heard that a fifth season of “The Simple Life” is going ahead now.

This time the girls will be camp counsellors (and dish out advice on, um, what?).

Production starts in November and will air on E! in the US in April/May.
