Before he brings his hilarious his stand-up show to our shores, this week you can catch British comedian, Russell Brand getting the yellow makeover for an appearance in The Simpsons, screening on Sunday, October 21 st at 7:30pm on FOUR. While the latest 24 th season of The Simpsons takes a hiatus both in the U.S. and New Zealand, FOUR’s bringing fans the series’ very best episodes, and there are few more memorable than “Angry Dad: The Movie” from the series’ 22 nd season. “It’s true I’m going to be in The Simpsons,” Brand revealed during the time of voicing the episode. “I was having an amazing birthday party and found out I was going into space. Then my agent says, ‘Oh, The Simpsons want you in an episode’.”
“My ideal show would be where I have a cartoon relapse with Barney and Homer and get smashed out of my mind with them,” he added. Although it may not be his ideal scenario, the episode will see Brand’s character appear in a star-studded episode featuring Halle Berry, Curb Your Enthusiasm actor J.B. Smoove and Wallace and Gromit creator Nick Park.
Ricky Gervais, who fell for Marge earlier in the season, will also once again voice his character in the episode. Make sure not to miss all this action when The Simpsons screens on Sunday, October 21 st at 7:30pm on FOUR.
