The seven-part series examines New Zealand’s past through various themes such as Fame, Folly, Ingenuity, Money, Pleasure, Evil and Conflict. With the help of some remarkable footage gleaned from TVNZ Archives, the show continues to deliver some shocking truths about New Zealand and its history.
Episode one examines fame. From mountain climbers to social climbers, Wells tracks the rise and fall of Cookie Bear, Chloe of Wainuiomata and Michael Jackson, amongst others.
