Here’s a laugh for your weekend. Children’s entertainers The Wiggles have created a parody based on Uruguayan football player Luis Suárez’s antics at the FIFA World Cup.

Suárez is alleged to have bitten Italian player Giorgio Chiellini during a the Italy vs. Uruguay game on Wednesday (NZ Time) in which Uruguay won 1-0.

Glee regulars all returning

Glee creator Ryan Murphy has confirmed that all the regular characters will be returning for the fourth season of the musical drama.

Purple Wiggle hospitalised

The “Purple Wiggle”, AKA Jeff Fatt, has been hospitalised after requiring emergency heart surgery due to arrhythmia – an irregular heartbeat. Fatt blacked out while driving his car over the weekend and will miss the entertainment group’s US tour.

Hackers strike Fox News twitter feed

Fox News in the US have said hackers are to blame for the breach in their Twitter news feed that sent out a tweet claiming president Obama had been assassinated. One of the posts read: “BREAKING NEWS: President @BarackObama assassinated, 2 gunshot wounds have proved too much. It’s a sad 4th for #america. #obamadead RIP.”

Former True Blood cast member returning

A former True Blood cast member will return to the series at the beginning of a potential season five after last featuring in the third season. The show has just begun screening season four in the US.

Hawaii Five-0 adds cast member

Richard T Jones has signed on to play a recurring role in the second season of Hawaii Five-0. The former Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles actor will play the new Governor of Honolulu.

Have you ever made it to the end of a rainbow? This September 2008 on ‘Playhouse Disney’, The Wiggles are ‘Racing to the Rainbow’. After a big storm, The Wiggles see a beautiful rainbow in the sky. Determined to have a closer look at this amazing natural phenomenon they jump in the Big Red Car and the Big Red Boat and begin the race! Dorothy, Wags and Henry race in a hot air balloon whilst the Captain and his crew race in the S.S. Feathersword. Along the way, “The Wiggles” meet some very interesting people including: Magdalena the Mermaid, the Queen of the Rainbow, and the King of the Road. Murray gets the chance to play in a rock band and Jeff conducts a string trio! With “The Wiggles”, there is always time for a song. “Racing to the Rainbow” features songs such as “Run, Run, Run Away (A Storm is on its Way)”, “Music Box Dancer” and “Rainbow of Colours”. So bring your dancing shoes when “The Wiggles: Racing to the Rainbow” premieres this September on “Playhouse Disney”!

The Wiggles dance their way through January on Playhouse Disney in “The Wiggles: Wiggledance Live in Concert”. “The Wiggles: Wiggledance Live in Concert” captures The Wiggles and their friends at their most exciting – live in concert at the Sydney Entertainment Centre. From the opening of Toot Toot, the Big Red Car makes its grand entrance through the curtains and the crowd are up on their little feet! You see and hear your favourite Wiggles songs from the last 15 years. Everyone put your hands in the air and sing Rock-A-Bye Your Bear! The Wiggles songs are all about engaging children and interaction, so with Wiggledancing you can Move Your Arms Like Henry, Point Your Fingers and do the Twist, Swim Like a Fish, Dance in the Sand or jump up and down to The Monkey Dance! It’s Lights Camera Action, as you’ll be taken on a musical journey from the sweet shores of Wiggle Bay, to the lively of harbour of Sydney. Talk Like A Pirate Day Marathon: The Wiggles

When The Wiggles aren’t singing and dancing, they’re spending time with their friends and this month the focus is on Captain Feathersword, a mischievous but friendly pirate. As well as catching Captain Feathersword in various Wiggles episodes you will also join Captain Feathersword, his shipmates and The Wiggles, as they go “Sailing Around the World” in an amazing adventure filmed on location! From “London Town” to Sicily and San Francisco, everyone will have a great time on this wiggly, giggly global trip! So climb aboard the SS Feathersword and hoist the main sail as The Wiggles take you to sing in Sydney and move to the beat in Mexico. Whatever they’re doing, they are bound to have a wigglin’ good time!

There’s plenty of singing and dancing with the Wiggles for preschoolers to enjoy, while learning more about the world in which we live when new episodes of “The Wiggles” come to Playhouse Disney Channel this June.
