Bow down to your judgemental overlords New Zealand! The X Factor has returned after a one year sabbatical from our screens. For a year we seemingly had nothing musical that warranted being judged, how ever did we cope? The X Factor 2015 seems to be all about changing things up. While the ever charming Stan Walker remains on the judging panel along with Mel ‘cool aunty’ Blatt, this season we have sadly lost previous judges ‘pink hair’ and ‘tartan pants’. If this change left you worried that the judging panel had been drained of its ‘colour’- never fear- Morticia and Gomez from a young, hip, MTV reboot of the Addam’s Family have replaced them, or as they are more commonly known: Willy Moon and Natalia Kills.

X Factor New Zealand second runner up, Benny Tipene, has his single “Make You Mine” featuring in the promo for the new season of Winners and Losers in Australia.

New_Zealands_Got_Talent_logoLast nights win by Renee Maurice on New Zealand’s Got Talent was a bit anticlimactic.  After failing to make the finals on TV3’s The X Factor New Zealand earlier in the year, for obvious reasons, Maurice then tried out for the show that was more suited to her.  She then went on to win the public vote and walk away with the $100,000 prize and car.

While his fellow X Factor NZ judge, Stan Walker, and some of the contestants he mentored will perform to hundreds of thousands of people attending Christmas in the Park in Christchurch and Auckland, Daniel Bedingfield will be taking to the stage in the Hawkes Bay’s regional version.

For all those people who had tickets to Bedingfield’s cancelled concert in Wellington, the event at Anderson Park in Napier on December 14 is free.
