Tonight

The Paul Henry Show enjoyed a 40% boost in ratings the week to an average audience of 103,334 viewers per night, helped mostly in pare to the record 192,340 viewers the show had after the leader’s debate on Wednesday. The inconsistent start times appear to have played a major role in the declining ratings in recent weeks as the start time for the late night news and current affairs program began well after its usual 10:30pm slot.

Tonight suffered a 17% fall with Thursday delivering the lowest rating episode TV One’s late night news show has had all year, resulting in an average audience of 104,968 viewers per night, only slightly higher than TPHS.

After the previous weeks lowest ratings ever for The Paul Henry Show, the numbers are in and last week was even worse. The average audience for the late night news and current affairs program was down another 2% to 73,998 viewers per night.

Meanwhile, TV One’s Tonight was down 6% but still well ahead with their average audience of 127,148 viewers per night.

It was not a good week for The Paul Henry Show. The average audience for last week fell 27% to 75,714 viewers per night, the lowest week the show has ever had. The only redeeming factor was Friday which delivered a 46% higher audience than the rest of the week. The numbers could have been much worse.

Tonight enjoyed a 6% increase with TV One’s late night news program seeing their average audience rise to 120,162 viewers per night.

While it was a slow start to the week for TV3’s late night news and current affairs program The Paul Henry Show, the week ended with the highest average audience its had all year with 181,320 viewers on Friday. It was also the first time that The Paul Henry Show has delivered a larger audience than Campbell Live on the same day.

The overall numbers for the week saw a 16% increase to 103,284 viewers per night on average.

Tonight was also up 9% to 113,092 despite one of TV One’s lowest rating shows for the year on Thursday.

TV3’s late night news and current affairs The Paul Henry Show enjoyed a bounce last week, picking up 10% on the previous week with an average audience of 88,830 viewers per night. It was still well down on previous weeks and despite winning three out of the five nights, TV One’s Tonight came out on top overall for the week with an average audience of 103,320. This was a 4% drop on the previous week.

Ever since Paul Henry’s little US vacation, his ratings have been somewhat under performing compared to before he left and while he was away. While his average audience was up 1% this week to 80,608 viewers per night, he’s well down on the 110k+ viewers he was enjoying each night back in June.

Meanwhile, Tonight was back up 22% to 107,348 viewers per night.

After a dismal start to the week with two of the lowest ratings The Paul Henry Show had suffered since its inception, the late night news and current affairs program redeemed itself slightly on Friday with its best rating program in two weeks. Overall, the average audience was down 11% on the previous week to 79,762 viewers per episode, the show’s lowest to date.

Tonight, meanwhile, dropped 26% from their stellar week last week to 87,790 viewers per episode.

paul-henry-janika-ter-ellenIt’s been a bad start to the week for The Paul Henry Show. Monday began with the lowest rating episode ever with an average audience of 55,250 viewers. Tuesday, however, was even worse as the late night current affairs program slumped even lower to 41,760.

The last couple of weeks have rated much lower than has been the case for much of the year while TV One’s Tonight has surged ahead.

Having returned from vacation, The Paul Henry Show has dropped to ratings not seen since February. Down 16% on the previous week, TV3’s late night news and current affairs program was down to 89,56 viewers per night, the third lowest rating week the show has had.

Meanwhile, Tonight trumped last week’s big record with Wednesday’s show clocking in viewership higher than Campbell Live usually sees at 7pm with 262,160 viewers. The week still managed to end up down 5.5% on the previous week to an average audience of 118,412 viewers per night.

The average audience for Paul Henry’s first week back after his vacation was down 4% on the previous week to 106,698 viewers per night. TV One’s Tonight had a very good week. While the average audience was up 16% on the previous week to 125,374 viewers per night, Tuesday saw the late night news bulletin set a new record for 2014 with a massive 215,560 viewers, double last week’s total average.
