The second week of Paul Henry’s vacation rated almost identically, picking up half a percent on the previous week with an average audience of 110,914 viewers per night.

Of the second week, Bob Parker’s Tuesday night rated the highest with 144,080. Here’s how the rest of the week looked:

With Paul driving around California on vacation at the moment, how The Paul Henry Show would rate in his absence was always going to be interesting. The numbers are in and despite having a different replacement host each night, TV3’s late night news and current affairs program was down 15% on the previous week. The average audience was 110,330 viewers per night.

Despite being down, Friday nights episode was the third highest rating episode the show has had with The Edge morning show host Mike Puru drawing an average audience of 159,160 viewers.

The Paul Henry Show had its second ever best week last week with an average audience of 129,182 viewers per show. TV3’s late night news and current affairs program enjoyed a 13% increase in viewership for the final week before Paul jetted off overseas on holiday for two weeks to drive his beloved mustang around LA and the neighbouring deserts.

Tonight had a mixed bag of a week. On Tuesday, TV One enjoyed its second highest rating show for 2014 while Friday say its second lowest. Overall, the average audience was up 3% to 106,366 viewers per night.

Both The Paul Henry Show and Tonight had falls in viewership this week with 4% and 9% respectively. TV3’s late night news and current affairs came out on top with an average audience of 114,178 viewers per night compared to TV One’s 103,390.

The Paul Henry Show rebounded this week, up 20% to an average audience of 119,386 viewers per night. The result handed TV3 another win over TV One as their late night news program Tonight
increased their average audience by 7% to 113,304.

It was another volatile week for late night news as The Paul Henry Show dropped 11% to an average audience of 99,120 viewers per night and Tonight dropped 7% to 106,352 viewers per night.

TV3’s late night news and current affairs program The Paul Henry Show had a 7% fall this week with an average audience of 111,522 viewers per episode. This despite Friday’s show delivering almost twice the audience of TV One’s Tonight which ultimately won the week with an average audience of 114,320 thanks to a 5% increase in viewers.

The Paul Henry Show bounced back this week with a 24% increase in their average audience resulting in 119,628 viewers per night. Tonight increased their average audience by 10% but were once again behind TV3 with 108,514 viewers per night.

For the first time in two months, Tonight has chalked up a win over The Paul Henry Show as TV3 suffers a 37% drop in the average audience.

Only 91,254 people tuned in on average per night for Paul Henry’s late night news and current affairs program last week, the lowest it has had since February. While TV One managed to come out on top with an average nightly audience of 97,178 viewers, this figure was also down 8% on the previous week.

It’s official. TV3’s The Paul Henry Show is now on top, winning more weeks in 2014 than TV One’s Tonight and delivering higher ratings over Nightline for the same period in 2013, despite his critics.

The average audience this week came in at 124,672 viewers per episode, up 7% on the previous week compared to Tonight which was up 6% to 105,132 viewers.
