2:00pm – Wednesday, January 9 on TV 3

From Heroes creator Tim Kring and starring 24’s Kiefer Sutherland, Touch returns to our screen for a holiday encore screening on Wednesday, January 9 th at 2pm on 3. Touch tells the story of widower Martin Bohm, father to Jake, a mute son who harbours the uncanny ability to connect patterns and discover the meaning behind seemingly unrelated events happening all over the world. Sutherland says the appeal of playing Martin was his total contrast to his 24 character, Jack Bauer.

“The opportunity I had in 24 was to repress,” he explains. “[With Martin] openly showing and having emotional reactions to what is happening in this exact moment is another fantastic opportunity.”

“In 24, the repression got heavier and heavier. Hopefully, this will become more and more open,” he says. Also, Martin, unlike Jack, “gets to sit down,” Sutherland continues. “He gets to sit down and have a conversation.”

And the differences don’t end there. Touch tells stand-alone, often meaningful stories of humanity’s interconnectedness.

“Each week will be a different set of characters and a different slice-of-life story,” Kring explains. Make sure not to miss this when Touch returns on Wednesday, January 9 th , screening weekdays at 2pm on 3.
