The New Zealand Racing Board’s Trackside TV channel will switch to a fully digital service at the beginning of August this year.

The board made the decision to switch off its analogue service to allow viewers a better quality product for digital subscribers..

“We’ve opted to switch off our ageing UHF service on July 31,” said head of broadcasting Glen Broomhall.

“In the meantime we’ll work to get those customers still on the analogue service set up using digital.”

Trackside will now be available only on Freeview channel 11 and Sky channel 36.
