8:30pm Wednesday, October 19 on TV One

TV ONE’s new drama Winners And Losers centres around the lives of four young women who are bound together by their shared experience of being ‘the losers’ in high school.

It’s been ten years since Bec (Zoe Tuckwell-Smith) has seen her former high school friends, a group of misfits who stuck together to avoid the attentions of school bitch Tiffany (Michala Banas). Loud and opinionated Jenny (Melissa Bergland), workaholic Frances (Virginia Gay) and fit and feisty Sophie (Melanie Vallejo) are now content in the different lives they’ve forged for themselves. The girls have graduated into women and have moved on from their high school days.

Or have they?

Tonight, a surprise invite to their ‘Ten Year Class of 2001 Reunion’ shakes all of their confidence. They attend the reunion determined to prove they are no longer the losers they were once dubbed. But Tiffany (Banas) hasn’t changed and they begin to wonder whether they’ve really changed either. One thing that hasn’t changed is that they still enjoy each other’s company and set out to be ‘winners’ together.

What can we expect from TV One in 2011?  Well, it appears as though the experiment of 2010 has been done away with and the edginess has gone and it’s returned to solid 25-54 programming.
