This season brings several new challenges for Brenda. Just as Brenda is finding her place at the LAPD, a financial crisis rocks the ground under her feet. Her struggle to solve murders on a budget - while protecting individual members of her squad from layoffs, transfers and early retirements - endangers her friendships, tests her loyalties and shifts her alliances as she goes about closing each case.

I've just been watching the Closer on TV One. The opening credits near the beginning of the show are falling off the left of the screen. So "Director" looks like "rector". "James" looks like "mes". So is this because I'm watching it on an old analogue TV and it's broadcast in wide screen? Whatever the reason, it seems pretty poor to me.

The Closer: The Complete Second Season is released on DVD on May 29, 2007. The four-disc collection features all 14 episodes from the series second season, along with bonus material, and will retail for $39.98 US.
