This new reality show on TV2, hit the headlines around the world when a contestant on the Colombian version was arrested for admitting to hiring a hitman to kill her husband! Just how far will the American show go to find the truth?

The host of the American version of The Moment of Truth is Mark L. Walberg. He explains that the questions vary, increasing in difficulty and degree of personal nature as the contestant progress.

FOX in the US are promoting their new game show (expect plenty more of them to come thanks to the writer's strike) called The Moment of Truth which will air early next year.

The idea is the contestants must answer 21 questions about themselves truthfully (thanks to a lie detector) to win up to a maximum of $500,000.

Some of the promos for the show included questions such as:

• Do fat people secretly repuse you?
• Do you think you will still be married to your husband in 5 years?
• At your current job, have you ever touched a female co-worker inappropriately?
• Do you care about the dying in Africa?
• Have you ever thought your boyfriend was gay?
• Do you like your mother in law?
• Do you ever think you’ll ever truly forgive your husband for his gambling losses?
• Would you cheat on your partner if you knew you could get away with it?

The show got cancelled in Columbia earlier this year when a woman revealed she hired a hit man to kill her husband (!!!).
