The Moment of Truth | Questions
Could this be the most controversial game show ever?
FOX in the US are promoting their new game show (expect plenty more of them to come thanks to the writer's strike) called The Moment of Truth which will air early next year.
The idea is the contestants must answer 21 questions about themselves truthfully (thanks to a lie detector) to win up to a maximum of $500,000.
Some of the promos for the show included questions such as:
- Do fat people secretly repuse you?
- Do you think you will still be married to your husband in 5 years?
- At your current job, have you ever touched a female co-worker inappropriately?
- Do you care about the dying in Africa?
- Have you ever thought your boyfriend was gay?
- Do you like your mother in law?
- Do you ever think you’ll ever truly forgive your husband for his gambling losses?
- Would you cheat on your partner if you knew you could get away with it?
The show got cancelled in Columbia earlier this year when a woman revealed she hired a hit man to kill her husband (!!!). The show is running in lots of other countries. Who knows, it may even come here.

I dont think but instead i have a great feelling and I am fully confident that this is the greatest show I have ever seen in the history of television in this whole world. The reason behind commenting the above statement is because the show has helped in providing justice directly or indirectly to the society,to the innocent and to the decent people who are victim of one's lies and bad deeds and still leaving their lives happily in the darkness of light. The show has helped people to recognize the bad people and prevented us from geeting in their net.Ritesh

sounds great. gotta remember that not all people are critical and narrow minded like some people. lots of people that watch tv are slobs and couldnt give a **** what they watched on tv. it seems like easy to watch entertainment. very american. if people are silly enough to go on the programme then go them.

Sounds interesting. In the same way The Simple Life was entertaining. Things don't always have to be highly intellectual to be entertaining.
Jack Frost
entertainment for people with low IQ

This is the worst show ever created in the history of television. How desperate and greedy can people be that they are willing to humiliate themselves for a few bucks??
Appararently, very greedy.
I saw the show tonight, here are some questions that were asked to a married personal trainer and ex-football player:
*have you ever touched a female client more than you should?
*are you delaying having children because you're not sure if your current partner is your life partner? (the answer was yes).
*have you suspected your friends from hitting on your wife?
*have you checked out other guys' privates in the shower? (the answer was yes)
I don't know about u, but no amount of money is worth this humiliation both to yourself and to your 'loved ones'.

Sounds fantastic.
Rachel
Very. And yet people want money even more than answering these questions...
Charter Obligation
Sounds vile.
