This episode explores the notion of Beauty - harking back to the days when the beauty contest reigned and no one batted an eyelid at being called 'Miss Kentucky Fried Chicken'. With beauty tips from Dave Fane, Sam Hunt and Sir Robert Jones.

The seven-part series examines New Zealand's past through various themes such as Fame, Folly, Ingenuity, Money, Pleasure, Evil and Conflict. With the help of some remarkable footage gleaned from TVNZ Archives, the show continues to deliver some shocking truths about New Zealand and its history.
Episode one examines fame. From mountain climbers to social climbers, Wells tracks the rise and fall of Cookie Bear, Chloe of Wainuiomata and Michael Jackson, amongst others.
