Also in this episode, Jeremy is on the test track in the sensational new Ferrari 458 Italia and laid back Hollywood legend Jeff Goldblum is the star in the new Reasonably Priced Car.

Abrams working on Alcatraz series

J.J. Abrams is currently developing a new drama series based around the infamous prison island Alcatraz. Abrams will team up with a former Lost producer on the project who will also write the pilot episode.

Lie To Me loses Phifer

Lie To Me will be without series regular Mekhi Phifer for the show’s third season after the actor was forced to leave for creative reasons. Phifer’s character Special Agent Ben Reynolds will no longer be involved due to a shift in the direction of the storyline.

BBC loses battle to shelve Stig book

The BBC has lost its fight to keep the identity of The Stig a secret after heading to court against HarperCollins.

Lawyers from the broadcaster lost out in keeping Top Gear driver Ben Collins’ autobiography under wraps with a judge ruling the publication can go ahead.

The BBC wanted to keep the identity of the infamous Top Gear test driver confidential in order to not disturb the viewers; enjoyment of the show.

They claimed Collins’ book was a breach of contract and subsequently took the 35-year-old driver to court.

Collins is known to the second Stig on the show, taking up the gig in 2003 after original black Stig Perry McCarthy was axed following his identity being revealed.

BBC fails to stop Stig book

The BBC has failed in its bid to stop the publication and sale of an autobiography by HarperCollins which will officially unmask The Stig from Top Gear. The broadcaster’s lawyers could not prevent racing driver Ben Collins’ autobiography from going ahead which, among other things, will tell the tale of the man behind the mask since 2003.

Grammer considering Frasier return

Kelsey Grammer is reportedly considering a revival of his character Frasier Crane in a new show which would focus on the kids of the characters from the original series. Grammer tweeted that he feels a Frasier reunion is overdue and that a new spin on the show might be a good idea.

Hamm and Giamatti for 30 Rock

Tina Fey has announced that Mad Men’s Jon Hamm and actor Paul Giamatti will make guest appearances on 30 Rock in the upcoming season. Hamm will reprise his role as Drew on the comedy series while Giamatti will play a “grouchy television editor”.

Gervais not heading back to The Office

Ricky Gervais has confirmed that he will definitely not be taking over from Steve Carell in the American remake of The Office. The comedian confirmed at the recent Emmy Awards that he will not take any acting part in the show and would prefer to simply keep his post as producer.

Is this man The Stig?

This is the man rumoured to be the world famous Top Gear test driver known as The Stig.

British racing driver Ben Collins has reportedly been exposed as the mysterious man in white after his company records were uncovered showing a pick up in business the same year as the BBC recruited a new Stig after the original was exposed.

Collins Autosport Ltd, which provides the driving services of Collins, describes 2003 as a “cornerstone year” when they were hired by the BBC to work mainly on the Top Gear programme.

Collins has also featured as a stunt driver on the likes of Quantum of Solace, the latest James Bond film.

Matt Newton quits The X Factor

Underbelly actor Matt Newton has been forced to withdraw as host of the upcoming X Factor Australia after being readmitted to rehab in Melbourne. The actor, who featured on the second season of Underbelly, has had a history of drug and alcohol related problems.

The Stig unmasked?

Newspapers in the UK are reporting that the identity of The Stig from BBC’s Top Gear programme has been uncovered thanks to information garnered from a set of company accounts. The driver is said to be ex-Formula Three racer Ben Collins whose company made significantly more money after providing “driving services for the BBC, mainly in the Top Gear programme”.
