Having a new mum, or wife, for a week is unimaginable for most people. But for the families on Trading Spouses it's an eye-opening learning experience that turns their worlds upside down with surprisingly positive results.

This family-oriented unscripted series is a fresh take on the classic fish-out-of-water story. Mums and dads take on the ultimate challenge, switching families! For some, this will be a dream vacation, for others, more of a nightmare.

Walking in someone else’s shoes isn’t always the easiest thing. While some parents are welcomed with open arms, others face mutiny from their new household.

Each mum or dad will have to adapt to a new household’s lifestyle and then will have the chance to change that family’s life by deciding how they will spend $50,000.

Fans of the show may most notably remember self-proclaimed "God Warrior" Marguerite Perrin who appeared on the show last season when she traded homes with a New Age humanist from Boxborough.

Perrin didn't waste much time trying to convert her new family to Christianity. After ranting against the forces of the "dark side," Perrin eventually took the $50,000 prize she originally called "tainted" and used it for gastric bypass surgery, which helped her lose 94 pounds.

Among the many families featured this season viewers will see the return of the 90 pounds lighter Perrin who will be living in the home of Abasi Malone and LaToya Brown, who are so environmentally conscious they recycle rain and so politically active that Malone hosts a talk show that addresses issues in the African American community.

Meanwhile, Perrin still resides in Ponchatoula, LA with her husband Barry, daughters Ashley and Brooke and granddaughter Abigail, as the family believes in traditional southern hospitality while running a thriving dance studio.

Needless to say, this season once again will see the traded spouses exchanging verbal jabs over views on race, social justice and politics.

However before the series once again encounters the fundamentalist believes of Marguerite Perrin we have other family trades to look forward to.
