TVNZ CEO salaries for the past 10 years
UPDATE: This is for the top salary at TVNZ, which is not necessarily that of the CEO.
Today's NZ Herald pulls figures from TVNZ's latest annual report and quotes CEO Rick Ellis' top salary as being more than $830,000.
What is missing from the article is some real context around the numbers.
How have TVNZ CEO salaries compared over the past ten years when taking into consideration inflation?
What you might be surprised to learn is that they've generally been on the decline over the past ten years, with a slight increase this year - but lower than the salaries of the early 2000s.

Why did it go up in 2009 when they were told to save $25mil? I'm sure $100k is really here nor there but it's the principal of the thing. $100k would have saved Owen Poland.
