The invasion continues on TV2 tonight, as V returns for a new run of feature length episodes.
As the story continues, Erica (Elizabeth Mitchell) finds her life in danger when she's attacked at home, and, as the Visitors build up their defences, a dangerous new member is recruited for the resistance. Meanwhile, Anna (Morena Baccarin) wonders why Chad (Scott Wolf) hasn't followed up on his diagnosed aneurysm and Ryan's (Morris Chestnut) concerns grow over Val's (Lourdes Benedicto) abnormal pregnancy.
Elsewhere, Tyler (Logan Huffman) learns a secret about his mother, and a sacrifice is made to save Ryan.
Elizabeth Mitchell says one of the things which attracted her to her character was Erica's bravado in the face of imminent danger.

The 'Visitors' have arrived, as the highly anticipated premiere of the thriller, V lands on TV2.
In the first of two feature-length episodes ahead of a full series next year, the world is on the verge of its first encounter with an alien race. The 'Visitors' (or V's) are initially viewed with fear, but they quickly become a source of fascination to the human race. To Chad (Scott Wolf, Party Of Five), a career-hungry news anchor, his exclusive interviews with Anna (Morena Baccarin, Firefly), the leader of the V's, are crucial to his dominating the airwaves.
However, when FBI counter terrorist agent Erica Evans (Elizabeth Mitchell, Lost) discovers the dark secret lurking beneath the alarmingly human exterior of the V's, resisting this new world has never been more important - and never has there been more at stake.

It was TVNZ's turn to show off which series they'll be screening in 2010 at their new season launch today in Auckland. As you'd expect, there's a fairly solid line-up.
TV One has a new goal: to be a little edgier. One might assume: a little less safe. It will be interesting to see how this transcribes into ratings.
TV One should dominate Mondays with The Pacific, an HBO series from the makers of Band of Brothers. This will be followed by the multi-Emmy award-winning series Generation Kill. However, as it aired in the US in 2008, it can be bought on DVD here for about $40.
