The action continues in Women’s Murder Club, screening Monday, August 11th at 8:30pm on 3, with Lindsay and Jill contemplating their own biological clocks when the Club investigates the murder of a young man, and the disappearance of his pregnant wife just days before her due date.

Based on crime author James Patterson's best-selling novels, Women’s Murder Club revolves around the lives of four women in San Francisco - Homicide Inspector Lindsay Boxer (Angie Harmon), Assistant D.A. Jill Bernhardt (Laura Harris), Medical Examiner Claire Washburn (Paula Newsome) and crime reporter Cindy Thomas (Aubrey Dollar) - who come together to use their expertise and talents in their respective fields to solve murder cases.

Angie Harmon, who portrays Homicide Inspector Lindsay Boxer in the hit series, recently said that working with female co-stars Paula Newsome, Aubrey Dollar and Laura Harris is really a great experience.

"It's fantastic. Also, because we are women, we have the ability to be nurturing and supportive and caring for each other… When you take one and put it with three other ones, we all are very powerful in what we do,” Harmon told movieweb.com.

“The four of us don't find a weakness and pounce on it. You lift each other up and support each other… We have a deep respect for each other… it's become a very nurturing and supportive group."

However, Harmon clarified that her decision to join the cast of Women's Murder Club wasn't necessarily based on the fact that the lead characters are strong and very capable women.

“When this one came about, it wasn't that, 'Oh, this is a strong female, and where is it going to be?' It was just a project that I really liked and I cared deeply about, and that's basically what I make my decisions on,” she says.

In order to understand her character better, Harmon has been doing research with real-life detectives in Los Angeles.

“We're trying to fit in going to crime scenes and things, and I've just asked nothing with children because that, I wouldn't be able to handle,” she says. “I've got a few people in other offices that I call and ask and get advice from… that's basically as far as I can take it."

Still, Harmon said that she has come to realise that the best source of information and inspiration when it comes to bringing life to Lindsay is Patterson's books.

"That's what's great about it - because of his writing and the detail and the character and the job description and all of that," she told movieweb.com.

"If there is a question that comes up and you can't get somebody on the phone, all you do is you go back to any one of the six books, and the answer is there in every single one of them.”

But how will she deal with her character’s ticking biological clock? Find out when Women’s Murder Club screens on Monday, August 11th at 8:30pm on 3.
